The Cloud Peak Mountains mark the Eastern Border of the Westerlands sub-continent. They act as a natural barrier between the fertile lands to the West and the savage lands of the Red Wind Wastes. The northern end of the range turns Westward, as it passes around the kingdom of Turimor, eventually ending at the great Western Ocean.

The Cloud Peaks are home to the Dwarves of the Westerlands, as well as to scattered tribes of monstrous humanoids and giant-kin. The range is also riddled with subterranean passages linking the various regions of the Underdark.
