Description
The town of Fenwatch sits atop a small rise of land on the northeast shore of Lake Turimor. The town is surrounded by a narrow band of cleared farmland, which is perpetually struggles to buffer the town from the ever-encroaching swamp. Although Fenwatch is a relatively small town, it is a vitally important stop marking the Western edge of the Tradeway. It has traditionally served as a jumping off point for caravans headed over the Cloud Peaks. While the town’s permanent population is insignificant, it draws fluctuating populations of caravan drivers and mercenary escorts.
Architecture
The buildings of Fenwatch are typical of an out-of-the-way border town. Designed to be sturdy and functional, they sport frames made of square timbers or whole logs walled with masonry and wood paneling. The overall appearance is of a cluster of hunting lodges huddled together on the lakeshore.
Economy
Fenwatch thrives largely thanks to two sources of income.
